Summer solstice afternoon
Summer solstice afternoon
Not a ripple on the green glassy Beaver
A gentle breeze carries bird songs
The geese waddle off the sandy beach
A young fisherman packs his tackle
In the gorge of water between railroad tracks
Square wheels echo off granite cliffs
After work gazers park and stroll
As I put my backpack on ready to roll
A day with my partner, mother nature
Such an intelligent grain of sand
In a swarth of dusty universe
