The geese of Big Rock

 The geese have a community 

along the Beaver at Big Rock

They no longer fly to Canada

Goslings meander and ganders graze

Up the grassy banks

Every day Every night

Climate and daybreak 

Sundown and clouds

Always where they ought to be 

While I plan trips to somewhere else

Return to where I stay

Every night

Every day

Nowhere to migrate 

Nowhere to fly away.
