 Dumped in front of modest houses

Put out, picked up 

All without a fight

A few weeks before it was a

Yard sale town touring down

Pick up for a penny any old thing

Walk around with spring in bloom

Old furniture from the bedroom 

All out, no doubt

It's time to throw it out

Recycle metals junk trucks scavenge

First come first serve freebies

And then that one Saturday morning 

A convoy of trash trucks

With crews of strong young men

Say goodbye to the broken motor

Good riddance to the recliner tarnished

For when the trucks of trash have passed

The sweet sound of birds return
