No more English muffins 

muffling my eyes

The simple life

of retirement 

All for others 

or doing nothing

Keeping alive 

health wise 

The rainy music  

on a sunny day

The boiled kale, 

eggs 

and cheese

My life no longer 

sweet

But living longer, 

to be complete
