Buds on branches poised to flower
Buds on branches poised to flower
A tinge of warmth seeping in
An effervescence of life percolating up
protruding from earth crocus burst
From there it doesn't stop growing
Perennial springtime greenery
In my landscape of hills and valleys
Losing white like melting snow
Fishing an edy in muddy boots
Birds on sunbeams
bending thin branches
That's what I want to do
Till the bough we sit on breaks
We fly away away
Light as dust
