Unsettled Skies

these unsettled skies

clouds beige to cobalt blue rolling in

could be a start of a cooling-off

brushing back disgust 

brushing back a hint of sadness 

not knowing what it will become

far away

face to face

till the weather stops

the pressure drops along the front

my eyes look up

without a smile on my lips

to see if the storm comes or not

with her response

the forecast flinches
