Cool Misty Whitewater

It was pouring all night

raining in the morning drive

to Laurel Highlands and Youghiogheny River 

but it wasn’t raining on the cool misty river.

We were invincible, we didn’t hesitate 

I jumped off the boulder like jumping off a roof

took some time to make up my mind

but i took the plunge

took a lot of time to calm my fears

jumped into the river

My baptism

I arrived,

I am truly here.
